As Mike Jones points out enabling ITU-T to use OpenID Foundation specifications
is a big deal.
Related efforts, such as enabling the GMSA, OASIS Technical Committees, and
other SDOs to use OpenID Foundation specifications are big deals as well.
Truth be told, this is the boring, bureaucratic part of standards adoption.
Infrastructure, like plumbing, takes a lot of work to get to a point where it
can be taken for granted.
In addition to his work with the ITU-T, Nat recently briefed OpenID Connect to
the OASIS electronic Identity Credential Trust Elevation Methods Technical
Committee.
Yet another example of connecting one piece of plumbing to another and in so
doing building infrastructure that benefits all.
