In my case the configuration didn't work - I couldn't log in using an LDAP account and I *think* a name query using 'id' also failed to locate any LDAP accounts. > And even the though the error message indicated that > /var/ldap/ldap_client_file is absent, it actually isn't. > > Go check it for yourself, I'd bet that this is the same on your host. I don't remember now, but it might be worth checking to if nsswitch.conf has been changed by nwam.
