Just to comment further. There is no OI SPARC iso which would facilitate a fresh install. So you would have to use something like b134 and upgrade from that to one of the devlopment repositories.
This is being discussed at the moment with a view to create a text installer iso. The main reason SPARC is lagging behind x86 is finding people with machines who can help, so it would be greatly appreciated.
