Guys,
I was curious if anyone recently tried installing osol on a new
laptop. I was looking at Lenevo line which has few laptop with
Nvidia graphics but they all seem to have some chip for wifi
that I can't recognize. Seems like Toshiba has no laptops with
Nvidia chips.
Would like to hear brand/model that someone brought recently and
seems to work well (specifically graphics, ethernet, wifi).
Thanks,
Sunay
I'm using OpenIndiana on Lenovo Edge i3-370M:
Intel i3, 2.4 GHz, 3072kB cache,
6 GB RAM,
14" WXGA 1336x768,
WiFi Intel 1000 BGN
What doesn't work: wifi, suspend to RAM, fingerprint logon (but that
obvious).
Didn't try card reader.
What works - everything else.
Thanks Damian. Atleast I know Intel Wifi 1000 doesn't work. I vaguely
remember we added support for 62xx at some point. I will try to order
one with that then.
Cheers,
Sunay
