Thanks for sharing these discoveries... I think I've asked on the list
some time ago about getting boot-time arguments, and I think it was to
enable split-root mounting debugging beside some service arguments or
/etc/... files (i.e. to spit out messages in case of a verbose boot).
The spirals of history have completed a loop, and here we are again,
with an interest in this subject at the same time ;)
