My WAG is that while you have your VBox harddrives on a separate
pool, the VBox clones, snapshots, and various log files
and crash detritus are stored in $HOME/.VirtualBox

But boot your OI installation media, import your rpool, mount
your filesystems and start looking at your various filesystems
for usage.
Also look for any ZFS snapshots under your rpool.
