Actually, the rpool can be imported, but just can't boot showing those grabled

I tried booting from DVD, shell, mounting rpool on /a and forcing a rebuild via 
bootadm update-archive -R /a -v : archive were correctly rebuilt, but still 
can't boot, looking for a garbled unix path.
How can I just reinstall grub keeping the rpool safe? Will it keep my boot 
environments?

Firstly backup everything if not already, to external HD, that could be detached physically.
