Yes and I did that before posting.
Also confirmed the necessity of doing that when I reinstalled oi.
I did the edit to /etc/sshd_config; restarted ssh

But did not do "rolemod -K type=normal root".

I tried to login as root and could not until I did the rolemod edit to
etc/user_attr.

At least all is well now.
