I think OpenIndiana would be too narrow a scope. If you extend it to the wider illumos ecosystem (so you include the other distributions - OmniOS, SmartOS, Tribblix; and related technologies - such as OpenZFS and bhyve; even ports of additional languages/runtimes) then you stand a much better chance. Filling a whole day seems challenging.
