specific fonts are mentioned in fontconfig.properties. So these are hardcoded. How do you want to deal with this?
-- openjdk-6-jre-headless has font packages hardcoded in its Suggests filed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568835 You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenJDK, which is subscribed to openjdk-6 in ubuntu. Status in “openjdk-6” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: as title says already. Instead of hardcoding font package names here, it would be betterto just provide the following list: language-support-fonts-zh-hans | language-support-fonts-zh-hant | language-support-fonts-ja | language-support-fonts-ko, ttf-indic-fonts-core, ttf-punjabi-fonts This supports the same goal, but is more flexible, if we change the default fonts for some languages, like we did for Lucid. OTOH, I'm wondering if the fonts packages in the Suggests: filed are necessary at all... BTW: the desktop seeds include already fonts for each of those languages, therefor I think mentioning the font packages in the Suggests: filed is not necessary at all. If you really need to keep the font lists, please update them to include ttf-takao-gothic | ttf-takao-mincho for Japanese and ttf-wqy-microhei | ttf-wqy-zenhei for Chinese. The Takao and microhei fonts are the default desktop fonts in Lucid. IMHO, users who need additional font packages to display their language, will have them installed anyways, so pulling them through Suggests is unnecessary. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~openjdk Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~openjdk More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
