Probably this bug is not related to openjdk. I have the same problem running Eclipse 3.7.1 with Oracle's JRE (1.7.0_45).

I think that is openjdk related issue, becuase same thing happen to eclipse 3.8 and 4.3 Kepler. When I'm scrolling view in editor it seems that doesn't refresh.
