Hi Mike, I have to agree with Tobias. While the effect works live (that was the whole point of my demo video) it still does a lot of unnecessary copying between CPU and GPU. OpenGL works without that. It doesn't have to transfer data between CPU and GPU for each and every pulse.
Unfortunately, I didn't find another way without using private API or patching OpenJFX.
