In general, we will only backport to 8 fixes for critical bugs,
regressions, and a few others with safe, simple fixes. This bug meets
that criteria, so I have created a backport issue for it.

I would like to request the backport of the fix for JDK-8090029. Since Java 9
won't be here until 2017 it would be beneficial if the fix could be backported.
