Hi, you could try the new SVG2 renderer. To use it, make sure that Renderer/SVG2.js is included in your build profile, and then configure your vector layer like this:
new OpenLayers.Layer.Vector("my layer", { renderers: ["SVG2","VML","Canvas"] }); Andreas.
