Delphine, The project I'm working on: http://maps.flsenate.gov
It's a viewer for proposed redistricting plans. OpenLayers has made the front end mapping a cinch. The stack is openlayers/dojo/apache/mapserver. Good luck! Anybody? I had a look at the gallery but as you mentionned, most of them don't even work anymore... Any guess about big projects which used OpenLayers in their map structure? You may need to troll for more. My own site will be up in a week or two. It might be useful to point out that openlayers a. Can show on an iphone because it is in java, unlike flash solutions b. can show a google map implementation, but google don't do openlayers c. is very customizable d. is a buncha fun for the developer (meaning more dedication and commitment to making the map "personal" to the project, rather than just a generic add-on) Good luck Delphine! I am currently looking for existing maps built with OpenLayers on the web to show my Project Board what the end product could look like. Does anyone have suggestions?
