Thanks for the answer and the tip, I tried it but with GeoExt.form.formPanel
didn't work, I will take the protocol out of this formPanel and will try that.
Without testing it I think it should be a scope problem, because the
.refresh({}); function will be calling the protocol which is outside the
listeners function, but will try it.
Any other suggestions are very welcome, thanks

How can I overwrite the url of OpenLayers.Protocol.HTTP? I tried
> searchformPanel.protocol.url
and it works (checked with
console.log), but at the end the original url is sent (in the code below: url:
