Thanks for the input.  No, I am not using a Google layer, but my coordinates
are reversed.  The response is in GML, that is why I thought the format: new
OpenLayers.Format.GML({xy: false}) might help, but it did not seem to make
any difference.

I think that some of this being sorted in latest OGC specifications for
services. You might get better result with an urn: spec in the SRS name but
I havent revisited this.
