Your first port of call will be to look at your OpenLayers.ProxyHost
setting and make sure the proxy is working correctly. The browser
security will block XHR without it. Next, use the NET tab in either
firebug or Chrome developer tools to see exactly WFS calls are being
made and what the server response is. These are very likely to give you
important clues. If they look okay, show us the contents of the response
to the WFS POST data.
