I run openldap on solaris without problem. More specifically, I run openldap 2.4.24 on solaris 10 linked against
sleepycat db5 (and cyrus sasl, and heimdal gssapi and …) without problem. If you want to know what patches you need, I think you should consult the documentation that you saw that says it needs to be patched. I’m unaware of any specific solaris patches, but I don’t speek for openldap.org .
