What is $(OPTTARGET)? I would be inclined to believe it is _not_
x86_64, which is the amd64 base machine. Instead, $(OPTTARGET) is
using an ISA that is higher than what your XEON provides.

But this is just a guess. A disassembly around ip:7febaf26a415 would confirm it.
