OpenLDAP SQL

I'm trying to use mysql external db server for openLDAP db.
I just read this README file from openldap 
github(https://github.com/openldap/openldap/blob/master/servers/slapd/back-sql/rdbms_depend/README)
But it seems only localhost server can be used.
Can anyone tell me how?
