ciao, il messaggio indica che slapd si è chiuso in maniera un po' violenta (tipo -KILL) per cui non ha avuto modo di chiudere tutti i file che adopera in maniera pulita. Slapindex serve per reindicizzare il database. Nel caso di unclean shutdown non ha molto senso... Non dici che openldap stai usando ma suppongo sia lo stock di una distribuzione debian-like. Ti consiglio di cercare il comando db_recover o slapd_db_recover o come diavolo l'hanno chiamato nella tua distribuzione (attenzione! quello corretto per la tua versione di slapd) e lanciarlo con l'opzione -c -h /path/to/directory/containing/DB_CONFIG/file
