George Kirkham commented on OPENMEETINGS-348:
---------------------------------------------
Albert, I agree with you that it would be nice if participants screen was
zoomed when moderator zooms, but doing this can cause other issues because
participants can have different screen resolutions. We have had issues where
participants have had several differing screen resolutions and when sharing a
document that you want to zoom into, it is difficult to get all participants to
scroll to the same area and see the same area on the document.
If one of the participants has a much smaller screen size (small laptop), and
the moderator is using a 1920x1080 screen, then scrolling the document for the
moderator, the participant still cannot see the document.
I have thought long and hard about this and have not been able to think of a
workable solution, other than each participant needs to be able to control zoom
and scrolling themselves? But then this makes the meeting difficult.
Maybe there could be a way for Users to control their zoom and scrolling, with
an option to have this controlled by the moderator or to be able to take manual
control when required, and with out having to be a moderator or have drawing
access to the whiteboard. What do you think about this idea? And would this
be possible?
