George Kirkham created OPENMEETINGS-357:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: Users should first log into "Private rooms", have as a
Admin selectable option for where users first log into
Key: OPENMEETINGS-357
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-357
Project: Openmeetings
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: BuildsAndReleases
Affects Versions: 2.0 Apache Incubator Release, 2.1 Apache Incubator Release
Environment: Openmeetings 2.x
Reporter: George Kirkham
Assignee: SebastianWagner
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 2.0 Apache Incubator Release, 2.1 Apache Incubator Release
I would like Users when they first log in to log into "Private rooms".
And "Private rooms" could be called "[CURRENTUSERGROUP] Private rooms" where
CURRENTUSERGROUP is the name of the current user group that the user has
selected when they logged in.
Because others may want users to log into other areas, have as a Admin
selectable option for where users first log into, from a selection of a number
of locations, for example, Chat, Dashboard, Public Rooms, Private Rooms, My
Rooms.
For our users, they really only log in to Openmeetings join into a meeting. And
we have been using "public Conference room" because it is too difficult to tell
users to select "Private rooms". As the meetings are private to the user group
that the user has selected as they log in, it would be convenient if the user
was able to log directly into the "Private rooms" area, where they could then
select the required room.
