Dear Johnny and others! I am currently researching the opportunities of making OpenMeetings installable from different Linux package repositories, and managing programs such as aptitude, apt-get etc. In order to do that we have to complete the following steps - 1. Create the package files (.DEB, .RPM) 2. Place them in major distribution repositories as unstable/testing (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.) 3. Work on moving them to the stable branch.
Currently, I've completed step 1 of those, two packages, .RPM and .DEB, have been created and placed in http://expressaas.com/distrib/release/red5-openmeetings_1.0.2760_noarch.deb and http://expressaas.com/distrib/release/red5-openmeetings-1.0.2760-2.noarch.rpm respectively. You are free to download and test them, as soon as testing is done they will be available to the public. And maybe, some of you have already tried to place the similar to above packages to distributives' repositories, and have some experience to share in that matter. Johnny, as I was told, you've had some experience with that. Any updates or samples of successful installations will be welcome. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OpenMeetings developers" group.
