Hi Maxim, I had something similar and it was compiling ffmpeg in Ubuntu 12.04 32bits.
Could'nt generate or install (no remember) the deb ffmpeg packet generated by checkinstall. It was solved uninstalling libav-tools, this is installed when install ffmpeg from repositories.
