Ok, but you still have the space in the word "Program Files". Some programs
- in fact most on Windows, don't worry about it, but some, like Java - do,
or at least seem to.

I had similar problems to you, until I changed the PATH and JAVA_HOME
contents to read
*C:\Program~1\ java\jdk1.6.0_31 *

then the problem went away. Oh, also, make sure you don't have multiple
versions of java installed!
