It's basically a jar file containing the files that would normally appear in the repo...
I was going by the instructions at http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-central-repository-upload.html At the bottom of that page, it says to run the following to deploy it: ./deploy-bundle bundle_URL [groupId] [version] Or, of course, you can just do 'jar -xvf [file]', and manually put the files in place in the repo.
