Great David,
we actually are defining the priority for our developments, and at
the moment the 3gpp implementation for events and alarms
should be available for system test at the end of january.
If you, or somebody else, has any request/requirements on this task
we could consider it on our implementation.
We will keep you informed.
Thank you.
If you want to merge this code back to OpenNMS 1.8, then we should be
discussing your work since much of openNMS daemon fabric is being
redesigned and we don't want to duplicate efforts. Additionally, we
have the QoS daemon that currently implement a version of the OSS/J
spec for fault management and we should be attempting to coordinate
the changes in Alarm processing with our movement to support NGOSS
interfaces from TMF (OSS/J and TIP). Is your company a TMForum member?
This is very exciting. I would very much like to discuss what you are
doing and how. It is also very strange that I have just been visiting
the 3GPP site due to a discussion I am having with other members of
the TIP implementation team with in the TMForum and discussions about
using Open Source projects as reference implementation.
We should also discuss getting a contributors agreement in place.

I would like to continue this discussion in the developer's list and
perhaps we can organize a call to synchronize or efforts without
duplicating them.
ciao!
David
