Hi,

I've been banging my head on the table for ages trying to figure out
what was going on in OpenNMS so I attempted to dig into it with "jdb".
I've successfully run OpenNMS passing the -t option and attached with
the jdb debugger. However I'm having trouble navigating the classes as
I can't list anything.

I think I've set the source directories with the "use" command but jdb
doesn't seem to pick it up. Short of passing the 1000 or so
directories in the OpenNMS hierarchy along in the jdb command line I'm
at a bit of a loss.

So my questions:

* How do most OpenNMS hackers use a debugger? Through Eclipse?
* Are there any instructions for using jdb with OpenNMS?
* Should I be using JDB or some other debugger?+

+ ideally I'd be using gud-jdb through JDEE in emacs but I'll settle
for a working command line. Unless any OpenNMS hackers develop in
emacs and fancy sharing their setup.
