Hello,

I am Ashish Mittal, a pre-final year BE student of Computer Engineering from
Sardar Patel College of Engineering, India. I wish to take part in GSoC 2011
with OpenNMS as my mentoring organization this year.

I have already participated in GSoC 2010 under Sakai Foundation where I
created a subsystem ‘Event Explorer’ [0] for them. I have worked on
technologies like Apache Cassandra, Hadoop, Pig Latin, ActiveMQ, Maven, etc.
and am a big enthusiast of open-source technologies.

I have already gone through the development page [2] and have completed the
initial stages like getting the source code and building it.

I am interested in the 'Create a maven archetype for creating GWT based XML
configuration management and implement three of them' project idea [1]. I
have been working on Maven and creating archetypes and plugins. I would like
to go for this project and start with project plans. I would be thankful if
someone could give more information of what exactly is to be achieved and
give some information on how should I get started with this. Thanks in
advance.
