Me Too! I'm currently shaping up an install of opennms to do TL1 only. I have OM3500s, OM5200s, OM6500s, CPLs and 5080s. I used the TL1::Toolkit perl module to create a few service check scripts for the environment and disabled SNMP across the board since these devices are hit-and-miss snmp wise. I am starting to search the tl1d code to see exactly where it performs a login, since I haven't seen tl1d try to login to any of my dozens of defined nodes. If anyone has seen tl1d actually login to a device, or if any dev type can tell me where the login logic is i'd love to know. I am also happy to test code on the above shelves.
