Hello List, I’m having a bit of trouble with the TL1d facility and was hoping someone in the devel list might have some advice. I have enabled the TL1 service in the service-configuration.xml file and have created appropriate entries in the tl1d-configuration.xml .
After restarting opennms all is well and I see established telnet sessions to my Optical shelves, but that’s all it does. The TL1 daemon simply connects to the device and sits there, occasionally sending a keep-alives, but never attempting to authenticate. Since the session isn’t logged in, it never gets messages from the device. Wireshark shows the standard nortel/ciena banner and “ < “ prompt: Since i’ve been alone in the dark with this for a while I started examining the underlying code, and i cannot see where the username/password login logic is called or used. Can anyone give me a hint as to how the login logic works in tl1d or where it lives in the code? I’m no java developer, and i’m stumped. My original post to the discuss list (with config details) on this item is here: http://opennms.530661.n2.nabble.com/TL1d-not-performing-login-td7021539.html Thanks!
