Yes, it is required. OpenNMS uses the services defined on a host to determine
what to poll, and also what to collect.

Hi,
I am facing an issue with xml-collector (PM). collectd is not
scheduling the services and interfaces.
So added service using
/opt/opennms/bin/.provision.pl<http://provision.pl> still service is not
scheduled.
Please find the attached collectd-configuration.xml,
xml-datacollection-config.xml and collectd.log for the reference.
Could you please guide us in this issue .
