Hello everybody, i already asked this question in opennms-discuss, but was not satified with the answer. Mabybe you as a developer know:
For my current set up i need to collect data via JMX and display the values in graphical reports. Following the instructions at http://www.opennms.org/wiki/JMX_Collector i got all running. Another requirement of my setup is that i need to dynamically add data to be monitored. This is done by adding new attributes to the config file jmx-datacollection.xml. Do i really need to restart OpenNMS (http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Configuration_File_Index) to apply the config update? Maybe there is some internal function call to get it run.
