Is there a framework for handling the non-database components of OpenNMS when running install?
An example of this is how to handle the interface directories prior to 1.12, where some didn't include the MAC address, and some did. Under 1.12, they all do. I can think of two issues where this would be useful, (http://issues.opennms.org/browse/NMS-5824, and http://issues.opennms.org/browse/NMS-5808) where JMX RRDs contain either spaces or double quotes. If you have existing data, it would be nice to preserve it so if you ran the install script, it could rename the files for you.
