I agree, and I think Ronny and Christian (built the VMware integration)
have also said that they would like to see the list cut down. The
problem is that we haven't identified an expert who can help us identify
the high-value stuff.

I have a contact who does lots of VMware consulting and has said in the
past he would help out, but he's since switched projects and fallen out
of touch. I've just now reached out to a senior technical account
manager at VMware who is a friend of a friend and local to me. Perhaps
he can help, or refer us to somebody else who can.

Of course, if anybody on this list has the knowledge, time, and desire
to help out, please speak up!
