Hi Markus, Some of this work has been done already over the past few years. The project where that code should end up is core/lib because opennms-util is a deprecated path. I would not merge the projects yet if it changes the POM dependencies... we need to talk about some of that stuff with regards to OSGi. I would prefer that we had a lib JAR that had zero external dependencies (besides the JVM) that would be an easy JAR to deploy into OSGi and then utilities for other add-ons (Hibernate, Spring) would move to their own bundles (core/lib-spring, core/lib-hibernate) so that they are all easy to load into OSGi separately.
I'm going to CC opennms-devel to see if anyone else has feedback on this issue. -- Seth On 10/2/13 9:24 AM, Markus von Rüden wrote: > Hey Seth, > > I am currently wondering if we could merge the projects "core/lib" and > "opennms-util". > They have the same package anyway. > > What do you mean? > > Kind regards > Markus¹ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ October Webinars: Code for Performance Free Intel webinars can help you accelerate application performance.
