I’ve been doing a little bit of testing with a 1.13 branch, and noticed a few things about the new logging framework that I was unsure of how to handle.
For instance, in 1.12, I could specify how many files and the size they grew to for each OpenNMS service daemon. Now it seems they all are the same? Could we include a commented out example of how to make an entry for a specific daemon? Like if I wanted to have collectd keep around 10 files of 250MB in size. Second, there’s a lot of stuff that is logging into uncategorized.log. I’d think creating a JIRA issue would be good to record getting those fixed individually. Does it make sense to have a single JIRA issue to track them collectively with sub-issues to track each thread group individually?
