Hello, The logging in master is a mess because log4j2 is not capable of properly select the destination log for the thread pools.
In terms of OpenNMS, all the important information lives in uncategorized.log, instead of the proper log because of this. Changing the MDC context helps a little bit but it is not a clean solution and it doesn't work on some cases. LogBack seems to be a better implementation of the SLF4J API, and can handle more complex use cases like multi-threading, so my question is: Why not using LogBack instead ? Alejandro.
