Hi everyone,

I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that I am about to merge a
branch into develop (for inclusion in OpenNMS 17) that will alter some
of the database tables as part of work to redesign how we use location
during polling and for remote polling. After you update and run the
installer, the database will be incompatible with any previous version
of OpenNMS. If you want to switch back and forth between developing for
17 and an earlier version, you should back up your database before
upgrading.

Also, the remote poller API will change with this update so any remote
pollers will need to be upgraded as well. However, there may be more
remote poller API changes before 17 is released so if remote pollers are
important to you in the meantime, you should wait until 17 is released
to update and then upgrade your remote pollers.

Changes:

- distpoller, location_monitors, and minions tables have been replaced
by the monitoringsystems table
- monitoring-locations.xml configuration has been moved into the
database in the monitoringlocations table
- the REST interface has been migrated to Apache CXF to take advantage
of extra features that it has versus Jersey
