I finally traced the problem I was having... bad ground connection... UGH!!!
Thanks for all of the pointers. At least I got a better understanding of what
the FTDI reset setup really does. Stupid little gottchas. At any rate, back
to what I was originally doing... ICEPICK tests... Thanks again.
