It has, in the sense that the ftdi driver is built automatically as long as
libusb is available, while ft2232 has to be explicitly enabled. Other than
that there aren't any "defaults" in OpenOCD.
Something that could be done is to move the old configs out of sight, to
make it harder for users to unknowingly choose them over the ftdi ones.
