Hi -

It has been a few years since I have done things with OpenOCD, and need to try
some stuff out.

When I try to run OpenOCD - I get this error message: LIBUSB_ERROR_ACCESS
Google is not helping me tonight…

(a) I have a Ubuntu box - 12.04 LTS

(b) I have OpenOCD built using LIBUSB-1 (This is the HEAD, from GIT/SF)

(c) I plug in my FTDI adapter (signalizer)

(d) I know it is present and recognized, “lsusb” lists the device

(e) I have copied the ‘openocd.udev” file to /etc/udev/rules.d as
“60-openocd.udev”
The file is owned by root.root

I am *NOT* that familiar with the udder rules, I am a member of the
‘plugdev’ group
The instructions for this file are not very clear in the user manuals.

(f) I do not know how to make udev ‘reload’ a new configuration file, so I have
rebooted my machine.

At this point - I am kind of stuck and not sure where to goto next.

Suggestions?

-Duane.
