Hi Andreas, Thank you very much for your reply. One of the config files indeed had a hidden 'init' somewhere. Removing that fixed the error.
Now it's replaced with another error. I'll first try to fix this one myself - I'll call for help if all options don't work. Many thanks for your help. That depends on what the config files are doing. Not all of the sourced files are in our tree so I have no way of telling if any of them contains a hidden 'init'. Obviously something is doing init since the JTAG chain is probed before the gdb_port command is evaluated. /Andreas
