You're wrong - kilogram is definetely "kg" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilogram http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SI_prefix , just the same as km or kV. Capital K actually stands for kelvin in SI, so using it as "binary kilo" is somewhat wrong. >The notation KB/s is popular, but not scientific ! >The / (devisor notation) in KB/s is really not a scientific notation >Kbps is scientific ;-) The form x/s is widely used, while xps is used rarely (IMHO). >The best would be to write in plain text as >byte <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte> per second >bit <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit> per second >kilobyte <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilobyte> per second >megabit <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megabit> per second >kibibit <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibibit> per second > >or a mix as >nnnKB/s (kilobyte <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilobyte> per second) ... I'm for using the binary prefixes ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix ) in the form of x/s so e.g. KiB/s 4\/3!! _______________________________________________ Openocd-development mailing list Openocd-development@lists.berlios.de https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/openocd-development
