I've patched aux.usrgrp.sh to query the authentication database using the ``id'' command prior to trying grep on /etc/passwd and ypcat output. This should return the appropriate user ID and group information on a Linux system running nss_ldap whether it's in the local files or on an openldap server.
I'm in the process of testing the attached patch here, but wanted to post it here for evaluation since it's getting close to the next release (hopefully I got all the [s,m,r,n] prefixes right :-). <bugreport> There is a problem with this boot build in that the first shell script in the boot process says the --{s,m,r,n}{uid,gid} options are available, but these aren't implemented in the openpkg.boot script causing it to error out if they're used. I started working on implementing these, but didn't have time to deal with these today. </bugreport> Bill -- INTERNET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bill Campbell; Celestial Software LLC UUCP: camco!bill PO Box 820; 6641 E.
