Hi,
I have uploaded freetds-0.62.1-20040211.src.rpm to the openpkg.org upload
site for your consideration.
The package has been built and tested on Solaris 9 and RedHat Linux 9.
The spec file was based on a contribution from Steffen Weinreich. I have
changed it in the following ways:
1) Upgraded to freetds 0.62.1
2) Added a patch to fix a build problem (caused by library order on ld
command line) that affected both Solaris 9 and RedHat Linux 9.
3) Changed two Makefile.in's to build its 3 utilities (tsql, freebcp, and
tdspool) with static libraries.
4) Some minor edits to clean up.
It is configured to work with the OpenPKG unixodbc package almost out of the
box, except as follows.
"%{l_prefix}/etc/unixodbc/odbcinst.ini" needs the following contents:
[TDS]
Description = v0.62.1 with protocol 7.0
Driver = %{l_prefix}/lib/libtdsodbc.so
FileUsage = 1
where %{l_prefix} has been appropriately substituted.
And of course, each user needs to fill in their .odbc.ini file to identify
their database.
