The CURRENT build works OK, but the build under Release 2.1 fails with
UPD/pdflib-6.0.0-2.1.1.src.rpm and php-4.3.8-2.1.0.src.rpm. The build
fails with "undefined reference to `PDF_open_fp'". My workaround has been
to build pdflib-6.0.0p1-20040804.src.rpm and php-4.3.8-20040725.src.rpm in
our local Release 2.1 tree.

Many companies that have made themselves dependent on [the equipment of a
certain major manufacturer] (and in doing so have sold their soul to the
devil) will collapse under the sheer weight of the unmastered complexity of
their data processing systems.
