Ok, but seems like we need some more hacking here as it looks as
"-liconv" is not passed through to the pkg-config file (which is used by
all others based on fontconfig):
| developer$ /openpkg-dev/bin/pkg-config --static --libs fontconfig
| -L/openpkg-dev/lib -lfontconfig -lfreetype -lexpat
